Racing begins in April and runs through September every Saturday night. The asphalt track is .538 miles in length and features street stock, late models, mini-stocks, limiteds, and super truck racing. Local Saturday night event tickets are $12/person and children ages 10 & under are admitted free. The grandstands open at 4 p.m. on Saturday night with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.

Myrtle Beach Motor Sports lets the average person experience what it is like to drive a race car. The driving experience takes place at the Myrtle Beach Speedway. All participants must be 18 and have a valid driver’s license to participate. Different driving packages are available and ride along packages are available for children ages 12 & under.

Beach & Pier Fishing
Fishing is allowed on the beaches of Horry County. As of July 1st, 2009, any person fishing from a South Carolina beach is required to have a fishing license. Annual and temporary passes are available for purchase for both residents and non-residents of South Carolina.
The Grand Strand is home to eight piers. Each pier charges a daily or annual fishing fee. Rod rentals & bait are also available at most piers. Since a fishing fee is paid, a license is not required to fish from the piers. Shark fishing is prohibited on all piers. For a complete listing of piers visit our Beach Guide.
