The 5th Annual Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival began Friday evening at Market Common and continued Saturday, September 4th.

The annual Labor Day event featured a variety of arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, live entertainment from local bands, wake board demonstrations, boat rides, fireworks, and more.

The South Carolina Barbecue Championship & Kansas City Barbecue Society Cook-Off is also part of the annual festival.  Throughout the day on Saturday, festival attendees were able to sample the BBQ cooked by the competitors in the contest with a $10 all-you-can-eat wristband.  Proceeds from samples and BBQ dinners benefited Omar Shriners charities.
