July 4th 2010 at 3:10 PM

The annual Fourth of July boat parade was held today along the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet. More than 100 boats participated in the parade and thousands of spectators watched from the Marsh Walk, other boats, and the shore.

Boats of all sizes were patriotically decorated to follow this years theme, "2010:  Freedom Is In."  Boaters dressed up, waved flags, and sprayed the spectators who lined the Marsh Walk with squirt guns.  The boat parade featured pontoon boats, speed boats, fishing boats, kayaks, power boats, cabin cruisers, work boats and more.  Several airplanes also flew over the parade, enjoying the view from above.
